Ryan and I would like to take some time and answer a few questions we get asked quite often… I know this is long, so bear with me. No, We are not a “preferred shop” for your insurance company (unless you are with Farm Bureau!). What does that mean? Simply, it means, if you are in an accident, or have hail damage, and you call your insurance company to report the claim, they will not list Bowling Collision and Custom as one of their “preferred shops”. By participating in the Preferred Shop Program, an auto body shop is in contract with your insurance company… Meaning, the preferred body shop has agreed with your insurance company on pricing, parts and techniques before you walk in the door. YES!!! We have tried to become a part of this program, but because of the policies of the insurance companies, they will only allow one shop in our area on the program, which is NOT our shop.

Allow us to clear up some misconceptions…

-DOES THIS MEAN THAT BOWLING COLLISION WILL NOT WARRANTY OUR WORK? NO! We absolutely warranty our work! The body shop holds the warranty on each job, not the insurance company. We are fully licensed and insured. However, we prefer to say that we will do the job right the first time, so we don’t have to worry about it. If there is a problem, we will do whatever we can to make it right. It’s part of our value system as human beings, and as a business. Our mission has been, and will always be, to get you back in your vehicle, safely and looking better than new.

-IF BOWLING COLLISION IS NOT MY INSURANCE PROVIDER’S PREFERRED SHOP CAN I BRING YOU MY CAR FOR REPAIR?ABSOLUTELY! This is actually the question we hear most often. It’s ultimately your choice. You always maintain the right to take your car where you feel you will get the best service. Tell the insurance company which shop you “prefer”, and they will accommodate you… And, so will we.

-DO YOU PROVIDE QUALITY WORK EVEN THOUGH YOU ARE NOT A PREFERRED SHOP? You bet! Our reputation speaks for itself. We approach each job, from the classics we restore to the everyday driver, with the same workmanship, parts and attention to detail. We KNOW you’re our best advertisement and we hope to retain our customers for life! Check out our pictures and our reviews. Our customers are our very best advertisement.

-WILL YOU WORK WITH MY INSURANCE COMPANY EVEN THOUGH THEY PREFER ANOTHER SHOP? We have worked with all major carriers and will continue to do so. These companies are aware of our standards and our great reputation. We many not be the “preferred shop” for your insurance company, but we have established great working relationships with them over the 3 years we’ve been in business. We’ve even done work for many of them on their own, personal vehicles. All body shops work off the insurance company’s estimate and we will work with your insurance company to make sure you receive the best, and safest repair. If we investigate and find that your vehicle needs additional repairs while in our shop we are work on your behalf with the insurance company.

We get asked these, and other questions, ALL the time, so we hope we have cleared up some confusion. Feel free to contact us with any other questions you might have. We take pride in the fact that we are a locally owned and operated, small town, hometown business and I know many of you have chosen us for your auto body needs for that reason.
